Punta de arpón hawaiano (o pole spear) es el extremo metálico y afilado de una
lanza submarina propulsada por goma, diseñada para penetrar y retener peces en
distancias cortas. Existen principalmente dos tipos: tridentes (paralyzer) para
inmovilizar y puntas tahitianas (giratorias) para peces más grandes.
Características principales:
Diseño: Suelen estar fabricadas en acero inoxidable para resistir la corrosión.
Tipos de punta:
Tridente (Paralyzer): Punta múltiple (hasta 6 dientes) ideal para inmovilizar
peces en cuevas o al pez león.
Tahitiana: Punta única, a menudo giratoria, diseñada para penetrar y
enganchar mejor a presas más grandes.
Funcionalidad: Se enroscan en la pértiga del arpón y en muchos modelos son
intercambiables o extraíbles, lo que permite personalizar el equipo según la
presa.
